![]() I haven't done any additional investigation, to see if moving large numbers of records inflates the overall size of the EPIM DB. As long as I'm careful with the select/shift-click/drag, it is extremely quick. I tried the same notes migration test on the "synchronized" DB in the current v11.6.5 EPIM. ![]() The number of objects stayed the same, except for deleted items (57 / 699.8 kb down to 5 / 2.7 kb). Optimizing the DB resulted in the size changing to 232 MB. I do this regularly, hoping to speed it up or reduce freezes. After synchronization, it's 137 MBĪfter seeing that, I went back to the original EPIM version 11.6.5, and re-optimized the database. One thing I did determine is, there was a huge amount of bloat in my normal EPIM database.īefore synchronization, it was at 234 MB. ![]() The huge size difference made me wonder about the condition of my original EPIM DB, so I started looking into that. The size of the DB after passing through Synchronizer is significantly smaller. Moving selected items using the updated version seems to be extremely quick. If I'm careful, and don't let go of shift, I can grab an icon and get them to move. In the CURRENT version of EPIM, I have a hard time with the group selection/drag regardless. ![]() However, if the user selected multiple notes as a group, and the user tries to click-drag the group be selecting the one of the note icon/images, the group selection remains intact, and the group will drag to a new location, with the user's mouse. ![]() If multiple notes are selected as a group, and the user tries to click-drag the group by clicking on one of the note titles, the group selection is discarded and the operation defaults to an object name edit on the note that was used as a handle. In the new version of EPIM, I discovered a workaround for a fault in the note selection/drag process: I'm still experimenting, but that brings up other things to look at. (I keep the installation packages in a folder.) I don't think that the version information is available on the d/l page. The "Help>About" works once it's installed, it's not visible from the installation packages file properties. By the way, if you ever need to find the program's version number, you can simply click on Help->About. Great! We'll be looking forward to hearing the results. ![]()
